After a somewhat restless night in the express train from Varanasi we arrived in Agra, and was easy to persuade when we heard that there was a hotel with a swimming pool in the city. Since all three of us were tired after the train ride, we spent the first afternoon by the pool. That evening we were picked up by our local rickshaw man, and run out to see the sunset at the mini-Taj Mahal, where Laura and Natasha got a ride on a camel, as Katrina crashed with an iron fist!
The next morning we got up early (read; until six) to get out to the Taj Mahal at sunrise. Here we had obviously taken the obligatory photos and enjoyed the beautiful morning along with 1000 other tourists who had had the same idea. Taj Mahal was not enough for us! The same day we visited namely Agra Fort - a large collection of beautiful palaces with a lot of little details that attracted a lot of attention from the many camera lenses. Another thing that attracted attention bafta nominees was the two pale and blonde Danes; Katrine and Natasja. We saw that we were a major tourist attraction one fort itself, with all the Indian tourists who wanted to take pictures bafta nominees with us ;) Otherwise, we enjoyed the rest of the time in Agra along with Laura before bafta nominees we split up, and took every angry way.
While Laura went to Delhi, we turned nose against "the pink city" Jaipur. Here we lived, because of a tip from an English guy we met in Varanasi, in a beautiful area close to the old town. In Jaipur, we had two lovely days when we saw a sea of palaces, fed monkeys, riding on elephants and went into the glossiest cinema we've seen! A bit random and very fortunate we got the best seats in the nyudkommende film "2 States" bafta nominees
