She was supposed to be a boy. That’s what her father wanted and her father wasn’t used to not getting things his way. Girls couldn’t run the family business and girls couldn’t learn and make money. When his darling wife Melinda (Bless her soul) found out she was pregnant, everyone was so excited. Finally, a heir to his lifelong business! No one ever thought that instead of a healthy strong pixie boy, the Koboi family was given a delicate pixie girl.
I cannot take this anymore Saying everything I've said before All these words they make no sense I find bliss in ignorance Less I hear the less you'll say You'll find that out anyway (Just like before...)
Pixie girls are generally weak when first born but Opal Koboi took the cake. Many doctors claimed that she wouldn’t live past her first night and even if she did survive, her tiny brain would be too damaged to be of any real use. Basically, they said that the small pixie girl would be more like a stinkworm than a fairy. Imagine their surprise when Opal lived through the year and became perhaps one of the smartest fairies to ever exist. city of glass by cassandra clare The doctors ran constant tests but none could find what made the delicate pixie girl tick. Opal could easily city of glass by cassandra clare dismantle hard drives and quote famous city of glass by cassandra clare Mud Man before her first teeth even began to come through.
Opal grew up to be everything her mother and any other pixie would want for a daughter. Beautiful, city of glass by cassandra clare clever, and a witty tongue city of glass by cassandra clare were all traits the young pixie possessed—and not in modest city of glass by cassandra clare portions either! Everyone wanted Opal to be their daughter. city of glass by cassandra clare Many rich fairies even went as far as trying to buy Opal off her parents. A horrible thing to do in the land of the People.
Only one person hated Opal—her own father. city of glass by cassandra clare He was fine with her being beautiful and intelligent city of glass by cassandra clare but it was the way she wielded those dangerous weapons. Ferall was hoping for a miracle in the birth of a son but instead got a curse with the birth of Opal. All Ferall wanted city of glass by cassandra clare in a daughter was an obedient little angel who would graduate in art and marry some president of a company and settle down to a quiet life.
Instead Opal turned to the life of an inventor. Much to her father’s dismay, Opal set up her shop right across from her father’s. Inventions poured in and soon her father was out of business. Opal was overjoyed with her triumph but that wasn’t enough. Her father had caused her mental anguish, he needed to be punished. Sending him to a mental hospital seemed fitting enough.
School itself had been very enjoyable to Opal but the people who attended it made Opal’s blood boil. Sure, there had been a few guys at Haven High like Julius ‘Beetroot’ Root (excuse me but ugh!) who tipped the cutie meter but most of the other students didn’t like Opal (everyone knew Opal because she was so determined to show off). The feelings city of glass by cassandra clare were mutual for many but one particular fairy…rather centaur confused and infuriated the pixie at the same time. Young Opal was confused for the first time in her life. She had read the books, feelings weren’t supposed to feel like that. The egomaniac centaur knew everything and he could do anything. The centaur, Foaly, thought he was so clever and such a genius, other fairies soon began to think that. Opal knew she was every bit as smart, if more, than that cynical centaur and she wanted to prove the fairy body of Haven High that she was the smartest. The only way was to win the Science Fair.
She worked until she couldn’t see straight on a brand new pair of wings. The wings were state of the art and way more efficient city of glass by cassandra clare than what that overrated LEP was using. And finally the day of the Fair came. Opal watched with horror as the judges tacked a blue ribbon to Foaly’s ridiculous iris-cam and tape and second place ribbon to her wings. She knew that the only reason Foaly had won was because he was a male and the judges were as sexist as her father. Foaly somehow needed to be destroyed. She tried to defeat him with the B’wa Kell revolt by turning everyone against him but somehow he had that elf Short, the Commander and even that Mudboy, Artemis Fowl break him out. They all would have to be punished.
Anyway, her plans started with the murder of Commander Root. She could feel he anticipation curling in her toes as Captain Holly and Root strode into the trap oh so unaware. The fit of giggled she let out at the sight of Holly’s tearstained city of glass by cassandra clare face and the timer ticking down the seconds on Root’s life. Root’s death was enough to satisfy her need to destroy but it soon grew hungry again. She needed to make Holly and that Fowl boy suffer more! Because of the Mudboy’s mindwipe, it would have been a piece of cake to finish them both off. But no! That gaseous dwarf and that mountain city of glass by cassandra clare of a Mud Man had to help out and save them. They too needed to be punished.
But the part was too
